Afton House Books

Since I haven’t posted in a bit.

Books should be here this week or early next. There’s a chance the shipper will tell me that they are in customs in Richmond, VA, when they arrive, and I’d tell you. Maybe not. Since Customs has seen this shipment before, and the minor problems getting it through were resolved quite expeditiously by the Customs folks, I hope that this time it will be merely routine. No one may bother to call me, just drop pallets at my dock.

Once Customs releases the books, they are here the next day. Richmond is only 90 miles from Charlottesville, and the books are delivered to my company’s loading dock. Then the fun of packing starts…

Volumes 3 & 4 are printed, and making their way to Afton, VA via ship and truck. I should have them in a few weeks, and then a week (roughly) to ship them all out to you.

I will get a schedule for the final two volumes for you shortly.

If you are a paid subscriber, and you haven’t yet received your books, let me know ASAP. If you are one of the two people who received damaged books, your replacements are on the way.

I have sets left, in case anyone needs one set at the office, and another at home. Or would like to donate a set to their library.

By the way, there are a few sets of the original VIE available to libraries and other public institutions for free. They are donated by the Paul Allen Family Foundation, and it’s not very hard to have such a set donated to your local library or university. Touch base with me if you are interested.
