Slipcases and CVIE

Ok, so I slipped from January to February… still, better late than never, right?

I will now accept deposits for slipcases and reprints of the CVIE. The deposits are refundable for any reason, until I call for the first payment.  The purpose of the deposit is to get a head count, because my printing costs in these low volumes are directly related to the number of books I print, or slipcases I have made.

I will take deposits for about a month, and then ask for 50% of the cost of the CVIE, and payment in full for the slipcases. I don’t know these prices exactly yet, but estimate $1495 for the CVIE, and $80 for the slipcase. Shipping is additional, at cost, and that is about $60 to US addresses; $100 to Canada and Mexico; and $180 to the rest of the world. The EU may be cheaper than that, if I ship from Milan to the EU.

If, when I determine the final selling price, you don’t like it, just ask for your deposit back, and I will return it less any fees that I was charged in receiving it.

To make a deposit, send $25 for a slipcase, and $100 for a CVIE to me. The deposit will be deducted from your total price. Checks may be made out to Afton House Books. In e-mail, send me a note with your physical mailing address and a phone number for delivery issues. My e-mail address is on my website, http://www.AftonHouseBooks.com. Some of the info there is obsolete, and will be updated, but you’ll find out how to reach me. (Putting e-mail addresses right here is not a good idea.) If you have trouble, respond to this post.

Books will be shipped 2 at a time. The first two will be sent after you have paid the first half of the price. If you don’t like them, return them, and I’ll refund you money less shipping. If you do like them, send the other half of the price, and you’ll receive the other books. I will have a firm schedule when I place my order with the printer.

I reserve the right to cancel publication if the number of deposits drives the cost of the sets above a reasonable limit. I would, of course, return your deposit at that point.

Please clarify … is it really +$60 shipping for the $80 slipcase!?

p.s.: I like the half-naked-chicks ad. If ya gotta have ads, that’s the way to go.

Oh, no… the slip case is not $60… I’m not sure, but they come in a thick package, about 8″ by 24″ by 4″… not $60, but I have to check it out.

Also, I don’t see the ads, half-naked or, as the pessimist says, half-dressed.

Hi – What is the address to send a check for the slip cases? Can’t seem to find it on the website.

Hello, I want to biy this (CVIE and slip case). Send me your banking info, please, to make the deposit payment. Is it a difference between the shipping price to Russia and Finland?
    Thanks in advance, Alexei.

    Bob,

May I still sign up for a slipcase? How do I go about this? It’s been a while since I used your system.
